I am a PhD student broadly interested in the drivers of biodiversity assembly and loss. My research focuses on why diversification varies across different plant lineages and how anthropogenic activities impact them in the Anthropocene. I address these questions by examining the Asteraceae family —a widely distributed and highly diverse plant family known for its high levels of island endemism. Ultimately, I aim to provide a scientific basis for the conservation of these unique and threatened island lineages.
